Adam Khan has given recitals and masterclasses at prestigious venues and festivals all over the world including “The Guitar festival of Great Britain” in Chichester, The Abu Dhabi international series in the Gulf, “Entrecuerdas” in Chile, The Delhi international festival in India, Cumbre de Guitarra in Mar del Plata, Argentina, Dundee international guitar festival in Scotland, Saratoga arts series in New York, ICPNA festival in Lima, Peru, “European encounters” in La Paz, Bolivia. Guitar perspectives festival in Melbourne, Australia.

Adam has also performed in Germany, Italy, Portugal, France, Switzerland, China, Holland, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Romania, India, Kuwait, Qatar and Ecuador. Adam has performed with a variety of Orchestras and chamber ensembles including the Royal Philharmonic,The Allegri string quartet, Lima Chamber orchestra, The Brunel Orchestra. He performed with mezzo Leslie Garrett at the Barbican in London and with the Opera Babes in Rome and Lisbon.


Adam Khan was born in Seven Sisters, Neath, South Wales. After his first recital at 15 he was described in the press as “One of Britain’s most promising young musicians”. He studied in Oxford under British guitarist Raymond Burley and in London with composer John W. Duarte. He also spent a great deal of time studying overseas with Cuban Guitarist/Composer Leo Brouwer and in extensive masterclasses with Roberto Aussel and Eduardo Fernandez.

He was a prize winner and finalist in several international competitions including 2nd prize in the “Citta de Cortemilia” competition in Turin and the Brescianello prize in Savona. He was a finalist in the Stotsenberg competition in Malibu, Los Angeles, The Simoni Salmasso competition in Pisa and in Bucharest, Romania.
